About free2go

free2go is an RAC program designed to give help to all 17 - 19 year olds residing in Western Australia. The free membership provides tailored information on road safety education, advice on buying that first car and other great tips and benefits. If you are within this age group, you are eligible to join free2go. Membership entitlements include:

IF YOU ARE 17 YRS OR IN YR 12:

• Free RAC Roadside Assistance to ensure you don't get stranded on the road - personal cover, so no matter whether you're driving your own car or someone else's, the RAC will be there to help you if it breaks down.
  
• The option of Roadside Assistance on a nominated vehicle at half the normal subscription price for existing members going into second and third years of free2go.

IF YOU ARE 18 YRS:

• You are able to join free2go for 2 years and have the option of adding Roadside Assistance to your free membership at any time for only 50% of the price of Standard cover.
  
• Access to free2go RAC membership entitlements which include a range of discounts and free services at no cost for the full duration of your membership.

IF YOU ARE 19 YRS:

• You are able to join free2go for 1 year and have the option of adding Roadside Assistance to your free membership at any time for only 50% of the price of Standard cover.
  
• Access to free2go RAC membership entitlements which include a range of discounts and free services at no cost for the full duration of your membership.
  

In the last year of school, most year 12 students are getting Learner Driver Permits, taking driving lessons, sitting for their Driver's Licence test and preparing to buy that first car.

The RAC's expert help at this time can help avoid a lot of unnecessary trouble and expense.

While access to Roadside Assistance is a great advantage, free2go membership has a lot more to offer. No matter where you are or what you're doing, your free2go membership will help you make the most of it.

• 24-hours a day, 7 days a week Roadside Assistance in situations such as locking your keys in the car, changing a tyre, boosting your battery or any other mechanical breakdown problem.

• Free battery delivery & installation.
• Free fault diagnosis service once per year at any RAC Auto Serivces centre.

Signing up to free2go could not be easier.

The Community Education team will be visiting high schools throughout WA to present free2go and the benefits it has for young people who sign up. Application forms will be distributed at these presentations and students invited to sign up for membership.

If you prefer you can download an application form and fill it in later. Completed forms need to be delivered in person to the nearest RAC Member Service Centre along with a copy of your driving licence.

Young people living in remote areas who wish to sign up to free2go will be able to fax (9301 3177) or email their application along with a photocopy / scan of their drivers licence to free2go@rac.com.au
